Announcing a Pagan Prisoners Postal Group
On the 21 August 2007 a new project for Pagan prisoners was launched, called The Oakwise Circle.
The Circle is open to prisoners of all Pagan paths and will hopefully give them a sense of Pagan community. The prisoners will be able to participate in writing their own rituals for festivals, and performing them 'together' on the same date, uniting them in celebration.
The Acorn Newsletter
The Oakwise Circle is now producing a newsletter, The Acorn, four times a year, written by prisoners, for prisoners. The Acorn is sponsored by the Pagan Federation Prison Ministry.
The aim of the newsletter is for prisoners to share their thoughts and experiences, and their creative works of poetry and essays. To be able to share their spiritual journey with fellow Pagans.
At present, the membership for the Circle is open to prisoners who write to a Corresponding Minister. Hopefully this will change in the future.
