Here you will find our Region's contribution to the Wheel of the Year Project.

 Beltainne:  1 May, 2010

Beltainne is the Druid feast of life and love.  We celebrate the triumph of spring and the renewal of the Earth.  Hawthorn is the corresponding plant offering of blessing and purity and color breathing is orange.

The clouds of pollen are clearing away with each Spring shower.  The animals are abundant and the days are growing longer. Strawberries are becoming ripe for the picking so head out to your local farm or farmer's market and check out what is in season!

 Alban Heruin:  21 Jun, 2010

Alban Heruin is the 3rd of the Alban gates and the Sun is at its highest point in the sky.  Alban Heruin is known as the "Light of the Shore" - the meeting place between Alban Eiler (the Light of the Earth) and Alban Elued (the Light of the Sea).  Vervain is the corresponding plant offering known as the Druid's "healing herb" and is a token of sight and insight.  Color breathing is done in golden yellow.
