Albidatla Druidion Arduina
Assemblée Universelle des Druides d’Arduina

Founded in 1998, by Raphaël Zander, the ADA is a druidic college of pantheistic and pagan orientation. We study all the aspects of druidism: history, mythology, beliefs, symbols, sciences.

We issue a seasonal newspaper: ‘Derwydon’.

For all contacts, we speak in French, English, German, and Dutch. Our ritual language is French, and Old Celtic for sacred formulas and certain orations.

We celebrate Samonios, Imbiolca, Belotenia, Lugonasatis, as well as Geimros (winter solstice), Esracos (spring equinox), Samara (summer solstice), Vogiemos (autumnal equinox), in our Nemeton in a forest of oaks.

These rites are reserved to the admitted members of the Assembly.

The ritual dress is the white robe for all. A colour strip distinguishes the various offices: red for the Marcassins, green for the Ovates, blue for the Bards, yellow for the accomplished Druids.

The apprenticeship is oral, written, and experimental. It takes the apprentice through rites of admission in 3 cycles. Men and women benefit from the same training and the same qualifications without distinction: the first cycle consists of the discovery of the Celtic civilization and druidism, by the means of lectures and of 4 basic workshops. In the 2nd cycle, the neophytes become Torcogena / Torcogenos (women / men) – “Marcassins” [young wild boars]. The Marcassins receive teachings by series of papers that they must assimilate: they contain experiences to realize, works to complete.

An Atravos / Atrava – “guardian” - teaches them the basic matters and the basic usages of their future office. The Marcassins take part in the rituals. At the end of this instruction, the length of which varies according to the work invested, the Marcassins enter into the 3rd cycle, by rite of admission: they become then Ovate or Bard. The full title of Druid/Druidess is achieved later by merit and wisdom.

Training by correspondence is possible for distant and isolated members, with previous agreement on the training, and the obligation to assist in 2 rituals per year.

Druidism is inscribed in a body of traditions. That is why, next to permanent study, we insist a lot on exercising the arts, techniques and sciences proper to the Bards and to the Ovates: the practice brings realism and experience to the Knowledge, as well as the sense of the sacred to the everyday. Our philosophical teachings, techniques and traditions, are themselves authentic and respectful to the druidic heritage: they all are attested by history, archaeology, and the Celtic mythological texts.

Address: Ronxhy 72, 4960 Bellevaux, Belgique.

Amsterdam Seed Group

Amsterdam Seed Group logo

Based in the West of the Netherlands and founded in July 2004, our group consists of members with different spiritual backgrounds. We gather for the 8 festivals, which we celebrate publicly (seriously interested persons can participate). Our members live all over the country, so although we started off as a local group, we now have a national character. Our founder,Torc, P.A.C. Bloos, led a studygroup within our Seed Group during the first year. Due to popular demand this has been transformed into a Druidic training program that is a part of the Eadhadh Foundation. A weblink to Eadhadh can be found on the titlepage of our website. If you are interested, send us an e-mail and you will receive our electronic Nemeton newsletter. Torc is also available for workshops, rituals, lectures, articles, etc.

The Comardiia Druuidiacta

In ancient times, sacred groves were sanctuaries and places of worship for our ancestors, the Celtic and Germanic people and their leaders the druids. The Comardiia Druuidiacta began its active phase 30 years ago. Our druidic teaching programme is based on traditional lore and includes theoretical as well as practical training. Our aim is to understand the inner self and nature and to give people the opportunity to develop their spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual potential.

Traditionally there are three grades of initiation: Bards, Vates and Druids. The Comardiia Druuidiacta in Germany organizes and celebrates the yearly seasonal festivals as given in the Mag Tured and Coligny calendar. We have had a tree planting programme for 20 years now and have planted thousands of trees and many tree circles of ash, elm and oak etc. We have regularly published our magazine ”Abraxas“ for 25 years now. The CD organizes many special events (rites of passage), Fire Cult Gabhar Teine ,workshops, seminars and weekly meetings. Some of our druids have already been invited to festivals and radio and TV shows as speakers for our traditional natural religion.

The Comardiia Druuidiacta and their Circle of Bards have a special Eisteddfod gathering every two years: A Celtic experimental field were all visitors can experience themes like archeology, Celtic philosophy and work with oghams and runes. Included in this field are harpers and other Celtic musicians, a mask theatre which invites the visitor to find out where he comes from and to find out what natural religion is about. The CD is a non profit organisation, officially registered and a member of KultURgeister, the german umbrella organization for our traditional natural religion.

Visitors from all places of the world are welcome.

The Comardiia Druuidiacta Nemeton Dearraich OBOD Grove

The Comardia Druvidiacta was founded in the traditional way by Fearrac Dearraich 25 years ago. Fearrac studied with several groups and gained the title of a goðhi and rune master. In the celtic Croatoan coven he achieved the wicca Master Degree(1986) and became later a Bard, Ovate and a Druid. During that time the Comardia Druvidiacta was founded. The group expanded over the years and has now regular meetings and events also interviews on TV, Radio and print media. CD and Mc are available. For 16 years the CD have had a regular magazine on celtic natural religion. The NEMETON DEARRAICH GROVE is also a OBOD Grove. A lot of the activities are inspired by the ancient teachings of druid organisations in England, France and Germany. We work with archaeological and folkloristic material together in the way of the craft of the wise. After the Center for Celtic studies / Avalon House in Frankfurt Main the group moved out of the town of Frankfurt Main and found a place in the forest of the Taunus. Beneath some most important ancient celtic cult places like Glauberg and Heidetränk Oppidum the Nemeton was founded in 1990. The Nemeton is a place surrounded by a large woodland area. Here there is a smithy and a small hall for the activities that take place regularly, once a week. In the spiral herbal garden we grow many medicine plants and herbs that were used in traditional medicinal ways. For 25 years the seasonal festivals and Rites of passage have been celebrated in the old ways and we have groups with several activities like a Magical Mask Theatre, a Bardic circle were people are working on Harp, Drums, Firewalking ceremonies, Dancing etc. Members are working in a Trance project with the University of Giessen on "Altered States of conciousness" and we have had a Circle of Trees project now for 15 years. In this time we have planted thousands of trees such as beech, Oak, Elm, and also several Circles of Trees. The first ones that were planted now grow so fine that in between we make our first Harp gatherings there. In the Nemeton is a official Praxis for Natural Healing were we work with the traditional medicine ways. We have also a shop for celtic craftwork, Aroma oils and incense and produce Woodcraft Ogham sticks etc.In 1998 the COMARDIA DRUIDIACTA performed the first great Pagan gathering the Heidentag. Together with people from 7 Indian nations the CD planted a tree of life for Peace and introduced more than 400 people through a Celtic pagan experimental field. There the visitors learned about history of natural religion and were shown how the Celts lived. Everybody leaving had been singing and dancing, celebrating Runes and Oghams through a way of transformation. In the evening we had a Musical performance and Ritual with Masks. Presentation around the biggest tree. Throughout the last years some of the traditional groups were comming together founding a Council of pagan groups the KultURgeister. This is the first time that people with the same spiritual and ecological background were coming together organizing activities in Germany. In September 2002 the next Heidentag was organized – Among musical performances, Harping drumming singing and Folk dancing and the experimental field we had a very large circle of people (see homepage) on top of an old celtic place in the woodland area. The next Heidentag will be in 2004. Visitors are welcome in the Nemeton if you let us know beforehand.Information : COMARDIA DRUVIDIACTA

Kredenn Geltiek Hollvedel
(World-wide Celtic Creed)

or Kevanvod Tud Donn (Assembly of the people of the Goddess Ana), founded in 1936 by Raffig Tullou (deceased in 1990). The "Comardiia Druuidiacta Aremorica Uecorectus" ("Druidic Confraternity of Armorica of the Strict Observance") collects together the priests of Brittany, as the fount of further confraternities (in Québec, USA, Germany, Ireland, Italy).

Goals : The world today heads inevitably towards catastrophe - and each one of us feels it in truth - provoked by all pollution that is secret (on the mental plane, intellectual, ecological, ... and others)! This devastating and destructive event will be released by one or by multiple causes: nuclear wars, the proliferation of local conflicts, the extension of viral epidemics, economic and political collapses (the U.S.A. after the U.S.S.R.?), etc. Druidism intends to defend its followers against the effects of this situation, and assure their physical and mental survival by the reapplication of ancestral teachings, forged patiently by past generations, whence the imperative is one of cultural survival. Publications : "Ialon" & "Kad-Nemeton".

Ordre Druidique des Enfants de la Terre (ODET)

Logo ODET

Founded as a grove in 1999 by Syd, the Nemeton Gaulois very quickly became the ODET: Ordre Druidique des Enfants de la Terre ( Druidic Order of the Children of the Earth).

The Order directs its research and its work in a direction that is resolutely polytheist. (It produces both Bard and Ovate learning material). Its objectives are the practice of Pagan Druidry, working with Sacred Sites and honouring the ancestors together with the research of ancestral practices. In this way each person is free to follow their own quest within the tradition and for those with true commitment, to follow the path of the Druid, searching for re-enchantment of the world.

The Druidry of the ODET

It may seem impossible to revive Druidry with 100% accuracy, but we think that through studying archaeological and historical materials, together with the study of mythologies, fairies, legends and customs, we are provided with a good foundation for our quest.

In addition to the resources given above we also study the works of Mircea Eliade together with those from Jung and Assagioli ( because the spiritual is also that of the soul ). We also give consideration to the research done by Gaillou, Eluère, Kruta, Goudineau, Lambert, Brunaux, Guyonvarc'h & Leroux, and all the other seekers of our time, not as dogmatic text, but as a base for our reflection.

It seems essential to us to try to bind our sense of the Sacred to these ancestral keys that can't have totally disappeared, which haven't disappeared. Some might say that we can't consider ourselves to be Druids, however, our quest has the Celtic Tradition as a foundation.

There are those in the tradition that seek beliefs in areas that we do not (the Atlantean origin of Druids or the Extra-terrestrial origin of our Gods for instance ). We are not seekers of extraordinary phenomena, nor thrills, but are simply seeking a way to bond, simply seeking a view free from modern ideologies, looking for the Sacred; what was, is and will be, our human essence, standing on the Sacred Earth of our Ancestors.

Our groves and thickets are woven knots, weaving on the winds of the Earth's web. We work for this web, binding strands from all over the world. The Earth's dream exists in the chants of our rites and the memories of its children haunts our dances.

Order of Clochsliaph - Nemeton Clochsliaph

Whiteoakgrove Berlin, Germany The Order of Clochsliaph was founded in 2002. The founder Uwe Eckert has studied the Celts, philosophy, Druidry, ancient myths and rites for a long time, and has also studied teaching, healing practices, music and poetry. The formally national group of German speaking pagans "Welt der Kelten" (World of Celts) was founded in 2001 as a discussion group about Druidry. Many of the members were pagans from Europe (Austria, Switzerland, Germany) and other Countries (USA). The Order of Clochsliaph is a traditional Order and is also the first German white oak grove. Uwe Eckert alias Lugsciath was also initiated the 3rd time by the order of white oak in 2003 as a traditional Druid and has been permitted to lead the grove and to teach students. In 2003 the order of Clochsliaph was developed into a known national and international order. We have forged links with many national and international Druid groups and orders (such as OBOD, Comardia Druvidiacta, Order of white oak, ADO, Order of the Yew) all over the world. Our goal is to connect groups together, to share wisdom, poetry, history, Celtic related themes, understanding, old rites and make interesting suggestions about all these things. We are also a Druid School based in Germany to educate Students in Druidry (Adults and Youth). The Order of Clochsliaph is a independent Order with its own separate rituals, for information please visit http://www.clochsliaph.de Most of our rituals are similar to the white oak rituals, which can be found at http://www.whiteoakgrove.de

The German order is teaching students with traditional and modern methods of communication and learning. Everyone, as a guest or a student is heartily welcome, if they respect our terms of traditional teaching and hospitality. Our terms "präambel" include respecting all international and national laws, the human rights, and the terms of white oak. We are doing our very best to get and give useful information to all searchers and druid groups, if they contact us. We are open in accepting other druid groups if they practise Druidry in the same way as we and all well-known groups do.

In the future we hope to build a Celtic area in the middle of Germany for reconstructing a living community of Celtic science, recreation, Druidry, teaching and discovering of old wisdom. Included in this project are the reconstruction of original buildings and planting of trees (e.g. German paganday) with other groups. Information : ORDER OF CLOCHSLIAPH - NEMETON CLOCHSLIAPH
