Airport action pledge

Air travel is the fastest growing contributor to global warming,
and this is a coalition of groups campaigning aiming to do something about it by
pledging commitment to direct action stopping new airports being built. You
can also not travel by air, and cut down on the air miles of your consumables.

Brithdir Mawr is a Eco-Village of 165 acres in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, UK,
home to several projects, and aiming at sustainability.

Friends of the Earth inspires solutions to environmental problems
which make life better for people. They campaign on local, national
and international issues. They are involved at all levels of government
and whilst their campaigns may not be as high profile as other groups,
they have influence in power with few other NGOs can match. FOE operates
both nationally and through a network of local groups which compared
to other organisations have a high level of autonomy.

contribution you or your business makes to global warming. Here you can
calculate your CO2 emissions, learn how to reduce them, and buy products
and gifts which soak up or compensate for unavoidable emissions - like tree

The Permaculture Association (UK) is an educational charity helping people
become designers of their own space and use permaculture to improve
their lives and the environment around them. Permaculture is a wholistic
design framework for living in an ethical sustainable way, developed
by David Holmgren and Bill Mollison in the 1970s, and now a worldwide
movement.

Where trees meet the spiritual paths of human kind.

This is the website of a campaign by Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth
and Action for People and Planet aimed at the world's number one Climate
Change villain, the oil company Exxon (known as Esso in the UK).

Sustrans - the sustainable transport charity - works on practical projects to encourage
people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its
adverse effects.
