Accommodation
You stay in a beautiful old farmhouse on the southern side of the moor, in single or twin rooms. There are showers, baths, washing machine, dryer, central heating and a wood-burning stove. The enormous living room is where we do indoor work. Food is local and organic. We (the tutors) do the cooking (unless it’s part of a lesson), you do the washing up with the aid of the dishwasher. It is quiet, peaceful and the nights are dark and full of stars. On the top of Winsford Hill the Milky Way stretches out like a river of stars above you and there are no other lights to be seen – amazing!

“UNITING HEAVEN AND EARTH” – THE LIVING TRADITION OF THE CéILE Dé
The Coach House, Kilmuir near Inverness

This earliest surviving, unbroken manifestation of esoteric Celtic Christian Spirituality is rooted in a Native reverence for The Mother - Earth, as She ever-births The Incarnation - our Realised Selves, from the virgin womb of our surrendered hearts. This inner journey takes us through Nature and the Divinities of the Celtic Otherworld, beyond the illusory, beyond what our imagination will ever conceive, into the realms of the Unknowable One; Rúnda - the Sum of the Many, who wants to break and re-make our hearts, so that we might find and know the Beloved there; dissolving at last into the No-thingness Beyond All, realising that Heaven is here, now, and nowhere else.

This introductory gathering will explore some of the philosophy of the tradition and its application in real life. There will also be experiential work:

  • Learn some Céile Dé spiritual practices
  • Explore some of the mythology and philosophy of the tradition.
  • Learn ancient gaelic sacred chants.
  • And other spiritual practices, that work with and honour the beautiful world in which we live.

ONGOING COMMUNITY: Newcomers will have the opportunity to consider becoming a part of a local group that attends ongoing teachings every two months in the Central region as well as meeting together locally. This offers a powerful container for those who seek a path that invites commitment and openness to real inner change.
