Sacred Spirits

Commencing Wednesday 28th March 2007
Introduction to Druidry (Seeking Druidry)

Druidry is considered by many to be the indigenous spirituality of the Isles of Britain. Grounded in and inspired by sacred relationship with nature, through myth, magic and connection, modern Druidry offers the individual a pathway to a greater understanding of themselves, of others and all of nature.

This is an introductory course the Druidry. It will give the individual the basics of what Druidry is and how they may begin to practice the craft of Druidry. This course will not give sufficient information or practice to make the student a Druid, however for those who wish to learn more it will offer a solid foundation on which a deeper working of the craft can be based.

Venue: Gaea, Aylesbury
Dates: Commencing Wednesday 28th March 2007 fortnightly for 6 meetings
Time: Evenings, 7pm-9pm
Duration: 6 fortnightly meetings
Cost: £90 (payable in instalments)

Commencing Tuesday 27th March 2007
The Wise Woman - Accessing the sacred feminine

The wise woman means many things to many people. Yet no matter what our individual definition few of us ever access the wisdom of the sacred feminine within us. Whether we are female or male, we can all access a place that offers us a vision of ecstatic freedom and creativity, a place where we may find empowerment, strength and courage expressing fully who we are.

Through the power of relationship and connection, grounded throughout with her understandings of the craft of the Druid, through techniques many would recognise and call shamanic, Christine will give us the opportunity to experience a journey within ourselves, and perhaps into other worlds, to tap into the power of the wise woman - a power we all hold yet seldom recognise.

The course culminates in an optional but highly recommended residential weekend where students are able to practice and integrate all they have leaned in an open and supportive place, away from all distractions. The course cost does not include this weekend, which is payable separately and includes all tuition and accommodation. The weekend is held on a self-catering basis with participants bringing food to share.

Places on this course are strictly limited.

Dates: Commencing Tuesday 27th March 2007, 7pm-9pm, fortnightly for 6 meetings.
Time: Evenings, 7pm-9pm
Venue: Gaea, Wendover Dean
Cost: £90 (payable in instalments)

Commencing 3rd February 2007
Druid Visions

A 12 month experiential course for those studying the path of modern Druidry

Working with the changing seasons, exploring who we are and our relationships with all of nature, we will meet approximately every 8 weeks for a full day of learning, sharing and exploration throughout the cycle of the year. We will work with ways to improve our understanding of the sacred, honouring all of nature, with the skills of Bard and Ovate before gently introducing basic elements of the skills of the Druid. At each weekend we will review what we have learnt and how we have put into practical use that which we have learnt through sharing and the crafting of ritual. There will be ongoing e-mail and telephone support throughout the course.

Whilst some basic knowledge of Druidry would be useful it is not essential as the student is gently encouraged to find their own way forward.

The venue we will using is a beautiful quiet area on the north-western slopes of the Chiltern Hills, yet easily accessible by road and regular rail services from London. We will have use of the sites own private woodland which is surrounded by wonderful gardens and a nursery for native plants and trees. There is a labyrinth planned for later in 2007. In the longer term a 'celtic' roundhouse is also planned.

Date: Commencing 3rd February 2007, meeting 6 times over the cycle of the year.
Venue: Gaea, Wendover Dean
Cost: £300 for the full course, payable in instalments of £50 for each full day (by prior arrangement).
Concessions available

Gatherings at each day of the dark moon
13 Moons

This is a course with no beginning or end, and individuals can join at any time during the cycle of the year.

We meet approximately every 4 weeks, around the time of each Dark Moon, for an evening of learning, sharing and exploration. Through the tides of the Moon and cycle of the seasons, working with the energies of the turning year, we will come to understand better the flow of time, our lives, and of nature. At each meeting we review what we have experienced and how we have put into practical use that which we have come to know. At each gathering we will also celebrate through the crafting of ritual. There is ongoing e-mail support throughout the course.

Whilst it is encouraged that those wishing to take part attend each gathering, it is not necessary and so it is possible to work within the material without coming to each meeting.

Date: Gatherings at each day of the dark moon
Venue: Gaea, Wendover Dean
Cost: £15 per gathering
