Courses
A Perennial Course in Druidry by Emma Restall Orr (Bobcat) : Thirteen units based around the moons of the year, this is a course that is very nature-oriented. It can be used as an effective practice, even for experienced Druids, particularly when used on a daily or regular basis. Note: groups who gather to work with this course can be found on this page. A Members Gathering is also available to share experiences and offer support.
Polytheist Druidry by Robin Herne : A basic introduction to the way in which a modern polytheist group connects with the Gods, land and spirits in a manner that draws inspiration from the ways in which the old tribes connected with those same Gods, land and spirits.
Shaping The Wheel by Athelia Nihtscada : Part 1 of a two-part course that presentsvarious topics for meditation and practice on one’s own, usingmythological tales, cultural lore and law as a base. The course isself-directed, arranged by season and will take approximately one year to complete if the lessons are worked on and completed approximatelyevery two weeks.
Emma Restall Orr's introductory book, Principles of Druidry (Thorsons, 1998), is now available online. Within the text are scattered a number of exercises, making the book itself a foundation course in the Druidic tradition.
Associated Courses
The Dolmen Grove's Stag Course is dedicated to those who wish to re-establish their earthly connection with nature and spirit, developing an understanding with the divine harmony and self awareness.
This six part on-line course, written by Taloch, has been constructed to help with philosophy and mediation and teaches techniques as practised by the Stag Circle.
Ogham - Exploring The Celtic Tree Alphabet is an ongoing online course you can join at any time during the year. There are 13 lessons at a cost of circa £270. Course includes 'Befriending Tree Allies' - journeying to make friends with the tree and discover its qualities, 'discovering the deep meanings' and connections for each of the Ogham letters, 'Learning how to use the Ogham' and 'making your own Ogham'. The course works for you wherever you live as you will find the trees that hold the essence of each Ogham stave in the country you live in, and you don't need to only use trees of British origin.
