Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Lightning Tree? The Lightning Tree is a growing group of young people who have a shared interest in modern Druidry. We exist both online and off, but the forum is our main hub of activity. Our website area of the Network is like a container for all our scribblings, findings and projects. How do I get involved? You might join the forum, submit articles, poetry and other creativity, or get involved at events like Druid Camp. How old do I need to be? The Lightning Tree is open to all people aged 13 to 21. Do you meet up offline? Lightning Tree shenanigans can be found at the Druid Camp events, and the Lammas Games in the summer. What goes on in the forum? All sorts of discussion, and a lot of poetry. You can find out more about the forum here . Other useful pages might be: Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. What is your policy on child protection? All workings of the Lightning Tree are overseen by our appointed Child Protection Officer, childprotection [at] druidnetwork [dot] org( Helen Griffiths Haynes) (Red), who has been CRB checked. For Lightning members, Red is a good contact if you have problems or need advice on life, Druidry, or anything. She's there to help. If you would like to find out more, please take a look at the TDN Child Protection policy at: http://www.druidnetwork.org/about/childprotection.html, for a wealth of information on how the TDN operates in regards to young people.
