INTERFAITH

For assistance in connecting with other faith communities for purposes of peace, friendship and knowledge exchange, we recommend one or more of the following.

Interfaith Center at the Presidio

San Francisco

Interfaith Center at the Presidio is an umbrella interfaith organization for the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Main Post Chapel is a familiar gathering place for dozens of organizations with similar goals. In terms of goals, the Center's leadership is committed to promoting enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, ending religiously motivated violence, and creating cultures of peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living beings.

Promoting Bay Area Interfaith Activities

The Center's founders hoped to create a Bay Area umbrella organization, and to that end the Center organizes and cooperates in all sorts of collaborative events and programs. These activities generate a variety of opportunities for the Bay Area's interfaith community as a whole to develop. Active relationships are maintained with local faith and interfaith organizations, many of whom have became partners in the programs mentioned below.

Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow.

The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.
