Save the Date: "The Spirit of the West" Druid Gathering is happening on the 13th, 14th and 15th of June, 2008!
Westview, in conjunction with the Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF) Western Canada Region, is planning a Summer Solstice weekend to remember!
"The Spirit of the West Druid Gathering" is the first of its kind in Western Canada - a festival which has all the elements of a great weekend out for Druids of all ages:
- Great hospitality
- Meet other Druids from Canada and the United States
- Trees, a lake, beautiful scenery... did we mention trees?
- Stories and songs around the campfire
- Informative workshops
- Exhilarating hikes
- A ritual to celebrate the season and the spirit of Modern Druidry
- Mead tasting - come and taste the handiwork of our finest mazers
- The Spirit of the West Eisteddfod
- Live music by Raven's Call (A Celtic band from Edmonton)
- Loads of fun for all members of the family
- Camping options for all levels of campers - cabins, RV parking, or tenting available at the campsite in Central Alberta
- Let's not forget the excellent food prepared by a professionally trained and very experienced chef!
Costs
Fees for attending the Spirit of the West Druid Gathering are as follows:
- Adults (Age 13 and up): $70.00 each
- Children (Under 13 years of age) $30.00 each
- Infants and toddlers under 3 years of age: Free
- Vendor Fee: $25.00
The fees cover your lodging and main meals (breakfast, lunch and supper) for the entire weekend.
Payment
Payment may be made via cheques or money orders. Please make all cheques and money orders payable to The Druid Gathering.
The option to pay online using Pay Pal is now available! You will be able to use your Pay Pal account to pay with your credit card or via secure funds tranfer. If paying online via Pay Pal, please ensure that you still mail a copy of the registration form in.
- Registrants who have not registered or paid before May 30, 2008 will be denied entry to the Gathering.
- People whose cheques have not cleared will also be denied entry at the gate.
- Registration cannot be transferred to another person.
- Cancellations must be made before the Gathering begins.
How can you help make this happen?
We are looking for volunteers who can assist with planning, events, setup, food preparation, first-aid, etc.
We are also looking for speakers, workshop facilitators, ritual leaders, musicians and artisans to conduct workshops, play music, sell wonderful things and help make this an entertaining and fulfilling weekend!
