Self Description
The Foundation for Engaged Druidism (FfED) is a community of people who are living a life of Druidic and Celtic spirituality and who are seeking ways to apply insights from Druidic teachings and experiences to the authentic tending of relationships to soul, spirit, nature and others. Engaged Druidism integrates the practice of Druidism with personal and social action for a healthy, just and peaceful self and world. Within the FfED global community, both local and online, we base our commitments on the original myth, as expressed in Druidism, seeing this as a universal truth of wisdom and compassion. The FfED is not an order, but rather an international community of druids, both solitary practitioners and members of diverse orders and organizations. FfED members are both encouraged and enabled to conduct activities through FfED sponsored projects and local chapters serving their community. The administration of the FfED ensures a flow of information, learning, and community on the foundation's web site, and support by sponsoring programs aimed to enable the practice of engaged druidism personally, regionally, and globally.
