Assemblée Druidique du Chêne et du Sanglier
Our Federation of Glades and Groves was born on
Samonios 2007 and it is made up of some glades and groves having common
principles and values.
Each of them works autonomously and they gather around
what binds them that is
- Respect of our ancestors and a practice adapted from
the ancient druidic spirituality which is rooted in the ancient sources
respecting the spirit of our time. It is a double movement between Tradition
and Inspiration.
- Respect of the Earth and Nature.
- Celtic polythéism lived as a natural religion that
is to say which has its symbols at the core of Life, in traditions born in
customs and the folklore of our countries. A natural religion because it is as
well immediately available to any of us. Finally, it is a natural religion
because it links its rites and celebrations to the important rhythms of nature.
Our glades ( led by Macfuirmids ) and our groves ( led
by Druids ) are the core of our Assembly. All of them are equal on dignity and
claim their differences respecting the link which binds them. They work on
synergy in order to reach their spiritual and ethical purposes. They have the
same base and the same structure of teaching in common.
This graduate teaching is done by regularly introduced
Druids, Bards and Ovates.
The operating weaving is made of tradition and
inspiration. Both are making up the framework and the chain uniting the threads
of the 4 directions. We celebrate 8 festivals in the year and the glades and
groves occasionally meet for common celebrations and workshops .
The teaching is both done through a
presence in the glades with the MacFuirmids and through the contact with tutors
at different levels and also thanks to written material such as notebooks which
are used as a base of work for the different levels.
The notebooks aren’t an unveiled « truth »
by themselves but a guideline, a furrow, a track let by those who were on the
path before us. They are bound to evolve and be enriched by experiences run by the
Druids, the Bards and the Ovate from the glades and the groves.
The mabinog notebooks allow to get a general
understanding of Druidry, practice seasonal rituals in a group or by oneself
and to get to know the symbols linked to our Tradition.
The Assembly also offers a free newsletter, la Rouelle, 4 times a year. You can download it from our website.
