Self Description
The Sacramento Grove of the Oak, Inc. is an eclectic group of Druids, Wiccans, and other Pagans who gather twice a month and on the eight annual Celtic seasonal festivals, to share community, perform ritual, create magic, and support each other in our chosen earth-honoring pagan paths. We are a tax exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to the study, teaching, and preserving of the ancient Celtic culture, philosophy, and spirituality, and to the work of adapting these things into contemporary life. The Grove, founded in 1998 by Druid Michael R. Gorman is an eclectic Pagan group heavily influenced by the Celtic spirituality of the Druids. The Grove of the Oak holds regular gatherings and rituals, offers classes in Druidry and Wicca, and sponsors large public celebrations of the eight seasonal festivals of the Celtic year. We do our best to eschew dogma, believing that we, like the forests, thrive best in diversity. We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, and are active in the community working with other groups and organizations to plan and present rituals, workshops, and presentations. We also have a regular presence at regional fairs and festivals. We also participate in a multi-grove Druid ritual each year at Pantheacon.
