Self Description
Roharn's Grove is the pagan druid grove facilitated by Rob Wilson in Kent, south east England, high on the chalk hills of the North Downs. We meet for the eight seasonal cycles of the year; it's a community of likeminded souls who find the threads of tribe as a source of inspiration to express the tides of change within their journeys and the natural world around them.
Grove Vision
Roharn's Grove is a Druid Pagan Circle that is held by its physical boundaries and by the guardian spirit that holds its energy within the heart of the woods, the bark and root of tree, the fire that burns within our magical temple. Roharn's Grove is a group where each member brings their own individual expression of their Paganism, honouring the tides of the seasons, and their life journey; where each holds the grove as a deep well of inspiration and a foundation to their spiritual practice, from which they can deeply drink and find their true connection to the guardian of the grove. A place where we push our boundaries and a place that holds us in the deep rich magical heart, the iridescent wings of night.
Who is Roharn?
The Crow feather, beech leaves and sickle carry and hold the magic essence of this spirit. Roharn first appeared to me many moons ago, he is the Raven-Crow guide who continues to wreck havoc along my journey, he is the initiator of great change, and he brings the void of nothingness, the dark night of the soul, the womb tomb where we sing to the bones of the ancestors. He guides us through the caverns of our soul, land and pagan heritage, the radiance of his presence, the moonlight reflecting off his iridescent wings.
Roharn has been very much apart of my soul for many years as a guide that held me, pushed me, loved me, I know him as crow man. With the collapse of the Greenwood Grove, a painful journey, Roharn's energy stirred into a deep being and his grove vision was shared, offered and my prayers of dedication where whispered to the winds of my land. He is not an easy guide, yet full of wisdom and gently holds the richness and treasures of the shadows between the trees of the woods.
History of the Grove
My last grove, Greenwood, dissolved at the beginning of 2008, I had facilitated that grove for some 15/16 years. This was a hard and difficult journey for me to take. As the ebb and flow waxed and waned upon my soul, I've found great clarity and inspiration in all that had happened that year.
At around Lughnasadh, I often seek that which I can sacrifice, in a sacred act of giving without need. Here I let go of the final strand I had, the last remaining fragment of the Greenwood Grove. With a sense of freedom and pain, the resultant void was wonderfully liberating. Soon by the full moon, a vision, and new grove energy was at the edge of my awareness. Roharn's Grove started to emerge. This was difficult to face as Roharn was and is very much a personal and soul deep guide for me, yet here he was inspiring new grove energy. At Samhain 2008 the first inaugural grove rite was held, with wonderful clarity and rich deep soul song of Roharn flying through our journeys.
What it means to be a Member of the Grove
Firstly there needs to be a sense or calling to join the grove. It's not just about saying, oh well this group will do for me.
Membership to the grove is not automatic! You need to ask me and state your intention for joining the grove. This may require us to meet first, if I do not know you. If it feels right, you will be invited to a grove gathering, after which you will be contacted to see how you felt about the grove and also how I felt about you in the circle.
