Druid flag raised high

Submitted by bish on Sat, 22/12/2007 - 15:11.
Project Area:
This Winter Solstice, Loughborough Town Council raised, for the first time, a Druid flag to mark the event. There is a photo of the (gold, thrice encircled Awen on green background) flag on the main Interfaith page. It would be interesting, given some views that the Awen is not THE Druid flag, to see what folk could come up with as alternate symbols of the Druid path.

Breastfeeding and Druidry

Submitted by Sophie on Wed, 05/12/2007 - 22:12.
Project Area:
I want to extend the Birth Pages to include some stories about breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the natural way to feed a baby and, in view of the content of some formulas and the business practices of the companies that make them, the ethical way and so seems relevant to the Druid Network's Ethical Living Pages. I can write plenty of stuff about the benefits of breastfeeding, supporting breastfeeding... but as I haven't been blessed with a child I can't write about the experience. For some women breastfeeding is a breeze, for others a real struggle and many somewhere in the middle. Stories of all experiences are welcome, but please include how your spirituality and ethical considerations influenced you If you have a story you'd like to share on the Birth pages please contact me.
