I AM FULL OF YOUR GREEN

I am full of your green:
Sun dappled green:
Dark shady green,
Where the sun seldom penetrates.
Green of Oak and Ash:
Green of Hazel and Maple,
And of the Chestnut and the prickly Hawthorn:
Green of grass and bracken,
And of all the many herbs you host.
In a Grove of four Hazel trees,
In the body of your being,
I dance in the four directions,
Naked to the softness of my skin.
I am caressed by the wind
That rustles your leaves:
Warmed by the dappled sun
That filters through your canopy.
I am totally embraced by your green.
It protects me in my rite.
It washes me free, and clean.
In celebration I dance your green:
It flows carefree in my very movements:
My feet treading
The red loam of your forest floor:
Earth impregnated by your green
So ancient.
I am full of your green,
Like a lover is full of his love
After intimacy.
