We have now implemented a more flexible email subscription system for the Gatherings. The key changes are that:
- members can subscribe to a whole gathering, or just to one topic within the gathering.
- members can choose whether they receive immediate notifications or periodic digest notifications.
- members can choose how oftern they received notification emails.
- members can subscribe to other content as well as to Gatherings. Initially, subscriptions to News content has been enabled, but this can be extended in future to all types of content as demand arises.
Although in many ways the new system is more intuitive and friendly that the previous one, there is more to it because it provides for more choice. Guidance on using the new subscriptions system is inlcuded in the Gathering Member FAQs in the Gatherings Guide or is available directly from:
