KEY LINKS
Groups with which The Druid Network has close associations:
The Council of British Druid Orders (CoBDO)
CoBDO is a loose
coalition of small Druid Orders, initially brought together to discuss
the issue of free access to Stonehenge for Druid ritual. TDN has been
associate members (whereby CoBDO do not represent TDN, and TDN does not

state of internal instability and TDN has withdrawn from membership
until such time as the causes of the instability cease to be relevant.
Our representative is Kestrel (Angela Grant). Please direct any queries to her at CoBDO Liaison.
The

Possibly the biggest gathering of the Druid community each year, it welcomes anyone walking the
paths of the Druid tradition and any curious and respectful of that tradition. The camp is run
jointly by Emma Restall Orr of The Druid Network, Mark Graham of Charnwood Grove, and Rainbow
2000.

Honouring the
Ancient Dead (HAD)
HAD is a Pagan organization set up to interact between the world of archaeology
/ museums / the government, and the Pagan community as a whole. Its main premise is to inform and
encourage these secular bodies to handle with respect human remains and associated/sacred artefacts
that are either clearly Pagan or originate from pre-sixth century Britain, and to educate these
bodies about Pagan spiritual sensitivities.
HAD has links with PEBBLE,
dealing with this side of PEBBLE's interaction with the British government. It is run by a council
of theological advisors which encompass the broad stretch of modern British Paganisms, with backing
from a group of academic and field advisors. Local teams are set up for particular projects.

The Lammas Games and Eisteddfod
The Lammas Games is an annual charity fundraising event, at the heart of which is
the Eisteddfod, or bardic contest, for the Spear of Lugh. As well as the Eisteddfod, the day is
filled with talks, traditional games (cheese hurling, wife carrying, not to mention the 5-a-side
football tournament), stalls, great food, real ale. Set in the grounds of an old mansion in south
Oxfordshire, the event is organized by The Druid Network with Ice and Fire, Braziers Park and a
good number of individuals who make up the team.
Contact : See their Contact Page.
Public Body Liaison Committee for British Paganism (PEBBLE)
PEBBLE is the "Public Body Liaison Committee for British Paganism", set
up by a number of Pagan organisations following a report by the Home Office's Faith Communities
Unit, in which guidelines were set out for all government departments to include minority faith
groups in consultations regarding laws and guidance that affects them.
PEBBLE is not so much an organization itself, but a network that provides
guidance for individuals within Paganism who are seeking to engage with government and other
official bodies, such as hospitals, schools, prisons, museums and so on. It also aims to provide
lines of communication for those in government to talk to the Pagan community, through Pagan bodies
affiliated to PEBBLE, such as PIPS (Pagans in Public Service) and
HAD (Honouring the Ancient Dead).
The PEBBLE committee is presently made up of representatives from a number of
groups, including the Pagan Federation and the Council of British Druid Orders. A website is in
construction that will list affiliated groups and explain the process that others can take in order
to get more involved.
Contact details are being organized. Send email to
bobcat [at] druidnetwork [dot] org

Celtic
Shaman's Universe
Shamans are walkers between worlds. They journey, (spirit travel) sometimes, but
not always, while in trance. In this journeying they go out of their physical bodies into other
worlds (also called spirit worlds in non ordinary reality) in order to gain understanding, knowing,
knowledge, the 'bigger picture'. From this they enable (or sometimes undertake on behalf of)
en-wholing (healing) other beings, creatures, people, plants, the land itself. Journeying is an
essential part of being a shaman - else he is not walking between worlds. It can be difficult and
dangerous. To be a shaman requires total commitment....

Asatru-U
Discuss Asatru (Germanic Heathen) courses and introductory material
This group will discuss development and implementation of Asatru (Germanic
Heathen) courses for different kinds of students; for different levels of rigor and abstraction;
and for directed and independent study. The group will also develop introductory materials that can
be distributed offline. This discussion group operates loosely under the umbrella of the Reeves
Hall of the Frigga's Web Association and will adhere to the FWA policies on civil conduct
(available at
http://www.friggasweb.org). Unless
otherwise noted, the contents of an individual message is the property of the person who wrote it.

It's here to offer support, chat, post interesting links to websites/blogs, share educating ideas and celebrations. The door is open, welcome one and all....
Kindred-UK
We hopefully will grow to encompass many individuals, hearths, groups and
kindreds, all working together yet keeping their own individuality. We are not here to tell you
how to blot, or any other aspect of Heathen belief. To share knowledge, experience, friendship, to
learn and grow as a larger community.
Pagan and Christian Moot
This website and accompanying message board has its origins in a desire to
provide a forum where Pagans and Christians can learn about each others beliefs, burst a few myth
bubbles and gain a greater understanding of why people believe and act on those beliefs as they do.
Unlike the excellent Christian based websites that fulfil a similar role, the underlying purpose of
this board is not to promote any specific faith path over another. The role is not to seek
similarities in the beliefs to the exclusion of differences (although similarities do exist). The
purpose is to provide an honest and non judgemental area on the worldwide web where people can
begin to break down the barriers to communication between two faith groups.
Pagan Paths UK
This site welcomes pagans from any walk of life regardless of which path you
follow, whether that be Wicca, Traditional Witchcraft, Druidry, Heathen, Asatru etc. Pagan Paths

successful site with hundreds of members that it is today.
Inside there are many forums for you to participate in the friendly discussions.
We hope this site to be one where you will feel the comfort and the freedom to express your
religious views, where you will be met with a warm tolerant atmosphere.

EARTH and ENVIRONMENT
Biodynamic
Gardening Initiative
It seems the word "agriculture" can be a bit intimidating to ordinary
gardeners. There is the "feel" that you must be a farm, have your own animals, supply
your own cow manure, make your own preparations. Yes, perhaps this is an ideal, but it's not
possible for the majority of us. The Biodynamic Gardening Initiative is about showing how it is
possible for anyone to work biodynamically. We want to do this by being a centre to which people
can come, see, learn, work ... and then take it home to their own garden, be it a window box or
umpteen acres. The founders of the Biodynamic Gardening Initiative are dedicated to promoting
biodynamic gardening.

Celtic Twilght
Legends of Camelot - Gordd Cymru Online Arthurian Sources
A myth is history colored by emotion and modified by transmission over time; and
as such, King Arthur and the Holy Grail inhabit one of the most potent of mythical realms, a realm
that serves as a backdrop for our dreams, dusted off from time to time, and overlaid with the
political and emotional struggles of the time.
As time progresses, this site will attempt to blow away the dust of ages, to
consider the different possibilities, to reveal the real and the fictional, and to invoke Arthur to
rise from his bed where he sleeps with his knights awaiting our greatest need.

Sacred
Texts
This is a quiet place in cyberspace devoted to religious tolerance and
scholarship. Of particular interest to the Druid community will be the
"Four Ancient Books of
Wales" :
"This is William Skene's anthology of dark-age Welsh Bardic poetry. Often cited, but difficult
to obtain, this book contains every remaining piece of Bardic poetry known. The poems are
translated from four manuscripts: the Black Book of Caermarthen, the Red Book of Hergest (which is
also the source of the Mabinogion), the Book of Taliessin and the Book of Aneurin, all of which
date from the twelfth to the fifteenth centuries C.E. The poems themselves date from much earlier,
probably from the sixth century by internal evidence."

We are committed to carrying out Brighid's work in this world in the manner in which we have been
called, or, if we have not yet been called, in a manner in which we feel will serve Her.
If She speaks to you - as poet, healer, smith, storyteller, musician,
craftsperson, midwife, mother, hearth keeper, land steward, tender of herds, seer, woman of fire,
lawgiver, deity of the home, lady of the sun, or simply as saint or goddess - you are welcome to
walk among us.

Mercia Heathens
The Mercian Heathen Hearth is a community based on Heathen traditions. We
describe Heathenry as a set of closely related religions, which are based on Scandinavian,
Germanic and Anglo-Saxon belief systems. A Heathen is a person of any gender, age, political
persuasion or sexuality who follows one of these belief systems.
Miercinga Ríce
Miercinga Ríce is a group dedicated to the study, revival, and practice of
the pre-Christian religion of the Angles of the kingdom of Mercia (one of the seven kingdoms of the
Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy),and Anglo-Saxon Heathenry in general. The Angles were among the Germanic
tribes which migrated from Continental Europe to Great Britain in the fourth and fifth centuries.
Their religion was related to that of the Scandinavians of the Viking Age as well as that of other
ancient Germanic peoples. The beliefs of the Miercinga Ríce are therefore related to the
modern religious movement known as Ásatrú, a revival of the ancient Scandinavian
pagan religion. The beliefs of the Miercinga Ríce are also a form of Þéodisc
Geléafa (Theodisc Geleafa or Theodish Belief as some call it); the "belief of the
tribe."

Thorshof In Association
with Fealcen Stow and Midgard's Web
Thorshof is the Norse word for a temple of Thor, the best loved god of the pagan
Icelanders. The articles on this site cover the most popular cults of the old Icelandic faith, Thor
Freyr, Freyja and Frigg. It was in Iceland that the myths of the Germanic Tribes, the
Scandinavians, and the Anglo-Saxons were recorded, and it is to the ancient Icelandic literature
that we turn to fill in the gaps of our own native English religion.
The Troth Official
Home Page.
Although there are many variations in beliefs and practices within this faith,
and many ways of describing and classifying these differences, we all share a defining personal
loyalty to, or "Troth" with, the gods and goddesses of the Northlands, such as Odin,
Thor, Frigga, and many others. We have a deep respect for our Germanic religious, cultural and
historical heritage while at the same time welcoming all who hear the call of our gods, whatever
their background. Together, we seek to practice the moral principles followed by our noble
predecessors

Shamanism
It can be difficult and
dangerous. To be a shaman requires total commitment....

shamanism.

Friends of Tara
The misson statement of the "Friends of Tara" is to retain the Hill of

provided that they do not damage the site or interfere with the enjoyment of others.
To this end the "Friends of Tara" will work with the relevant authorities in any
practical way that is deemed appropriate.

Ancient Books of Wales" :
"This is William Skene's anthology of dark-age Welsh Bardic poetry.
Often cited, but difficult to obtain, this book contains every remaining
piece of Bardic poetry known. The poems are translated from four manuscripts:
the Black Book of Caermarthen, the Red Book of Hergest (which is also
the source of the Mabinogion), the Book of Taliessin and the Book of Aneurin,
all of which date from the twelfth to the fifteenth centuries C.E. The
poems themselves date from much earlier, probably from the sixth century
by internal evidence."

It is availible for free to anyone with internet access, and is best

and other audio files are constantly being added. There is no set
program schedule or "on demand" play, but rather think of it as a
surprise bag every time you open it!
