Archaeologists have discovered Stonehenge's little sister - just a mile from the famous monument.

The prehistoric circle, unearthed in secret over the summer, is one of the most important prehistoric finds in decades.

Researchers have called it 'Bluehenge' after the colour of the 27 giant Welsh stones it once incorporated - but are now missing.

TDN Site Move September 12th: Update

Submitted by David Orr on Thu, 10/09/2009 - 20:55.
Project Area:

The Druid Network Site will be offline for up to 24 hours from Saturday September 12th 00:00 GMT to allow the change of address to be updated throughout the web.

Taking the site offline will ensure that no material is posted to the old site which is then lost as a result of the move.

It is likely to take much less than 24 hours, and as soon as the changed address is available, you will be able to connect to the site and continue as usual.

Thank you in anticipation for your patience.

TDN moving servers 12th September

Submitted by bish on Mon, 07/09/2009 - 20:06.
Project Area:

The Druid Network site is moving servers on Saturday 12th September 2009ce.

Inevitably, as the new DNS propagates through the Internet (non techy mode: while the Internet notices the move and shakes itself down so that browsers look for druidnetwork.org in the right place) there will be some disruption. From the time of the move to renewed stability should take less than half a day, but please bear with us.

Please try not to upload new material to pages if you are a Coordinator. Please try not to post to Gatherings or use the internal messaging systems during the migration. We'll post again once we believe the site is stable. Thank you.

Members: Gathering Email Subscription Improvements

Submitted by David Orr on Sat, 02/05/2009 - 15:29.
Project Area:
We have now implemented a more flexible email subscription system for the Gatherings.  The key changes are that:
  • members can subscribe to a whole gathering, or just to one topic within the gathering.
  • members can choose whether they receive immediate notifications or periodic digest notifications.
  • members can choose how oftern they received notification emails.
  • members can subscribe to other content as well as to Gatherings.  Initially, subscriptions to News content has been enabled, but this can be extended in future to all types of content as demand arises.

Although in many ways the new system is more intuitive and friendly that the previous one, there is more to it because it provides for more choice.  Guidance on using the new subscriptions system is inlcuded in the Gathering Member FAQs in the Gatherings Guide or is available directly from:

http://druidnetwork.org/en/node/1001648/#subs (opens in a new window or tab)
