Some clarity:
- We cannot understate the volunteer driven nature of TDN. Once you join you will receive a confirmatory and welcoming email, but this will not happen automagically. All our work is done by humans who have day jobs, family commitments and lives of their own. It may be a day or two before your membership is created, especially in busy or holiday periods. Please be patient. Everything comes at the right time…
- Our Membership fees have not, to date, risen since we established in 2003. We think that’s pretty cool in these days of rising costs. An annual Membership subscription costs £10 or the equivalent in your local currency. We work with PayPal, and so the actual local amount in your own currency fluctuates as PayPal checks the exchange rates. Concessionary rates are available for those in financial hardship. Contact us for more information.
- If you don’t normally work with PayPal – perhaps you don’t even have an account – please be aware we have no control over ongoing authorisations, so please be careful with the automatic annual renewal checkbox.
- If PayPal is not for you, we can accept cheques in UK Pounds (but not Postal Orders or Cash) posted to our postal address. There is obviously a lengthy period involved in a postal application as well as additional workload for our volunteers so we prefer to use the online payment option.
Terms and Conditions of Membership
Membership of the Network, for the period of your membership, gives you :
- access to The Druid Network’s social media website.
- the ability to apply for funding for any project based on or in Druidry.
- access to the quarterly newsletter.
- invitations to the occasional conference and gathering.
- invitations to the Annual General Meeting to help the trustees guide the direction of the charity.
As a member, you are required to :
- respect the beliefs and practices of other members, even when their way seems very different from your own.
- respect the privacy of this place and specifically not share material from it in other fora or web sites.
- refrain from aggressive, judgemental or otherwise offensive behaviour or language towards other members.
- be a positive expression of Druidry and The Druid Network.
NOTE: Any breach of these conditions may result in your access being terminated, for a period or permanently, and in serious cases membership of TDN itself may be rescinded with no monies paid being returned.
