Imbolc Poem by Christina

Bowl of clear water
engraved with spirals
etched into mist within glass
spiral stone ~ heart ~ shell
and one lone candle
light my way through the stars
shimmering in midnight deep sky

Imbolc ~ maiden
renews my spirit
jasmine petals floating in water
their last winter offering before spring
Planting seeds with in my belly
Weathering grief to bring my joy into the world.

night of the new moon
brings darkness
Welcome dark ~
softly falling around my shoulders
the new, lies waiting underground
vulnerable, tender, fragile
~ Strong

making my give-away to the last song of
Winter’s howling winds
in this new and empty space
I open to the unknown

finding the courage of the maiden
to allow growth, to swell and bloom
in the heart of Winter Storm

to say to the world ~ This is who I am.
