Membership of the Network, for the period of your membership, gives you :
- access to the Members’ Area of The Druid Network website – currently call Social Dot and available at http://social.druidnetwork.org
- access to the periodic newsletters, and monthly trustee meeting minutes.
- access to members’ shared profiles where available, on the websites or through the office.
- invitations to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) where the previous year’s activities are reviewed and next year’s activities planned.
As a member, you are asked to :
- respect the beliefs and practices of other members, even when their way seems very different from your own.
- respect the privacy of Social Dot and specifically not share material from it in other fora or web sites.
- refrain from aggressive, judgemental or otherwise offensive behaviour or language towards other members.
- be a positive expression of Druidry and The Druid Network.
Any breach of these conditions may result in your access being terminated, for a period or permanently, and in serious cases membership of TDN itself may be rescinded with no monies paid being returned.
The information in members personal profiles :
- can be used for personal use only.
- can be used only for direct contact between members, not for blind email mailings or mailing lists except by The Druid Network itself.
- can be used only with regard to Druidry, the Druid community and clearly related issues.
Whilst we will endeavour to maintain the privacy of members’ information according to their expressed preferences, we cannot guarantee nor be held liable for any inadvertent disclosure – although this would only be to other identifiable members.
Upon expiry of a member’s subscription, their user name and associated information will be retained for a period of two years, allowing for a member to easily resume their membership after a lapsed period. After two years, their identity data, excluding any information required for legal or accounting purposes, will be permanently deleted from our records. If an individual would like their details deleted before this two year period, we shall do so. Forum and group comments and posts will not be removed automatically to avoid destroying whole discussions, but any identifiable data will be made anonymous.
